Letter from the President

On behalf of the sisters here at AOII’s Delta Omega Chapter, welcome!

It is my pleasure to serve as Delta Omega’s Chapter President for 2019-2020. Three years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life by joining AOII my freshman year of college. Looking back, I never could have imagined what I was about to gain. I knew that I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself while learning to be the best version of myself. Little did I know that I was about to gain that and so much more by joining AOII. The friendships I have formed with each sister in our chapter are relationships that I know will last a lifetime.
My sisters in AOII have been here to encourage me, to inspire me, to push me, to support me, and to care for me through every step of my college career. In three short years, I have grown from a shy freshman finding her way through Murray State’s campus, into a confident young woman. These women have been the ones I laugh with, cry with, study with, dance with, and grown with. I am so thankful to have found the sisters I never had, the future bridesmaids in my wedding, the ones who will give my child their first panda, and the ones I will grow old with.
My sisters in AOII truly live out our motto “Inspire Ambition” and it is no secret that spending a short amount of time amongst our sisters will truly inspire you. In an organization with so many beautiful women you will find a leader, a dancer, a nurse, a news broadcaster, a painter, a doctor, a friend, but most importantly a sister. We each have different pasts and interests, but we all hold the same values set forth by our founders years ago of character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. It is these everlasting values that bind our sisterhood and the reason why I and so many other, love Alpha Omicron Pi. As one of our founders, Stella George Stern Perry, once said, “Of all the blessings we count over, it seems to me none is greater than the consciousness of belonging to a family of thousands of sisters.” My sisters and I truly appreciate you taking the time to visit our website and hope that it gives you a small glimpse into why AOII is not just four years but forever.

I am truly humbled and blessed to serve as the Chapter President for AOII Delta Omega this year. If you have any questions about AOII or Greek life, please do not hesitate to contact me at msu.aoiipres@gmail.com.
